Blackout Day

The final puzzle piece has now been placed!

Last weekend, the final adjustment of our energy supply was carried out. In order to achieve full performance and maximize our share of PV power supply, we had to perform settings, modifications, and safety shutdown tests at the transformer station and our highly flexible battery storage.

For this purpose, we initiated a planned blackout. On Sunday, we completely disconnected our plant from the power supply for 10 hours. Many fitters, technicians, and protection specialists were on site to make the integration of solar energy into the public grid and the battery storage “safe and controllable.” A heartfelt thank you for the commitment of our external colleagues and our many internal colleagues in the preparation and implementation of this measure.

A special thanks goes to Robin Göbel (Energie Südwest) as the technical manager for the work on this day, and to the network team from Energie Südwest, the colleagues from Actemium, W&K, riello ups, Avril Elektrotechnik, König, Ehlgötz, SchwingelTec, and Smart1 solutions/option-e who were partly on site as early as 6:30 am or supported remotely until late in the evening. Here are a few impressions from that busy day when up to 20 colleagues were on site simultaneously.

Thank you once again for your efforts; you have taken us and the future generation of WEPTECH PV power a significant step forward.
